I'd Rather Be Dead Then Red on My Head - Ember

Coming Soon - Take a look at the stuff I posted for the Toreador and tell me if anything jumps out at you, especially the plots down at the bottom. I wasn't sure where I was going to start you, BUT I was going to pick up right where you and Sean left off. We were just going to do this awesome little thing called waving the ST wand and treat L.A. like it was Braddock the whole time, and that you're still just a new (unpresented) Toreador Anarch. Your thing with Fight Club and Sean toasting a Po-Po car is still valid, it's just Braddock instead of L.A. I was thinking that since you wanted to do the Rock Band thing of having Sean introduce you to a real rocker, Alex, and probably Mary Jane. Cool?

Sean looked at you a little funny. He seemed to like the idea of this party. The crappy apartment he had was transformed in the last three hours. It went from being a crappy apartment that looked like it walked right out of the mid 70s to a crappy apartment that looked like it was stuck in the 30s.

An antique jukebox was playing some instrumental jazz. The light fixtures had different shades on them and over the last week or two, Sean had gotten as much vintage furniture as possible. Along one of the walls he even had a working still, made of old copper pipes, an ancient water heater, and the gas tank from an old beat up truck.

"I told you last week I was going to host a gangsters themed party. Besides, I invited some cool people, so get dressed already." Sean poked you playfully. He was wearing a button up white shirt with gray pants and a red bowtie. He had on two color striped red and white suspenders that held up his pants. His sleeves were rolled halfway up his forearms and his shoes... well they definitely looked authentic, all black and white.

Sean did mention he was hosting the party but you'd forgotten about it up until last night when he started moving furniture. You had gotten used to living in his apartment, and had made yourself at home as much as possible. Things had finally started to settle for you and now it was all moved around again. Whether or not you liked the 1920s and 30s gangster theme was entirely up in the air, but it was a party all the same, and if Sean was to be believed he had invited a bunch of younger kindred, some of whom were interested in talking to you since your Fight Club victory.

"Come on... you gotta start getting ready," he complained. "You got about 45 minutes until Alex gets here. He already said he was coming and he was bringing some refreshments. So we have to keep things Masquerade friendly."

"Alright already" I said holding up my hands in mock surrender. "I'll be ready in just a few." I went off to the bedroom and began looking through some of the things I had purchased a few days before. I pulled out a pair of pin stripe pants complete with suspenders, a white button up shirt, a vintage style hat, and a pair of 3 and a half inch stilleto heels. I looked in the mirror and decided I need something that screamed female. Looking back in my bags I found the black lacy push up corset. Shirt off, corset on, shirt back on with enough cleavage showing to let everyone in the room know that there was no silicone here. I applied a small amount of make up and slid a string of pearls over my head. "So, how's this outfit Sean?" I asked walking back in the living room.

Sean watched as you changed. You knew he wanted to fuck you senseless. Everybody did. You were hot. Of course. Sometimes though, like now, when you did it on purpose - especially when you did it on purpose - reactions like the one you got from Sean were fun.

When you turned around he stared right at your tits - like he was supposed too. Finally he looked up. "I ever tell you that you got great tits?" No, he hadn't actually. While crude, it was still a compliment. "We got a few minutes before anyone shows up... enough time for a quickie?" It was a cross between hopeful and wish on his part.

I smiled as I walked up to Sean, "Come to think of it, I don't recall you ever complimenting my breasts. But, it's nice to know you think so." Looking at the clock. "Quickies aren't really my thing. But if you can wait till after everyone leaves I'll be happy to model the corset without the rest for you."

"Just the corset? Nothing else? What about heels and pearls?" Sean put his hands on your hips. He was intimately close. The feeling was somewhat comforting even if it wasn't destined to last. "I can deal with that." He gave you a peck on the lips.

A few minutes later there was an abrupt pounding on the door. It was obnoxious and didn't stop. Sean went to go check. He opened the door and was immediately greeted by a short man with greasy looking black hair. You didn't recognize him, but his thick Sicilian accent made him as obvious as his knock.

"He-hey! Yo Sean what's up man?" The two greeted each other friendly enough. Then Sean made introductions. The little man came over and greeted you first with a hand and then a kiss on each cheek. "I'm Luigui! Luigui Giovanni but don't let the name fool you. I'm of no relation."

I smiled at his touch and show of emotion. Even big brawly guys had a soft spot for a good looking woman in a corset. A small chuckle escaped from me at the sound and timing of the loud banginig at the door. I gave Sean a I-told-you-so look as he went to go see who had arrived. I gave a welcoming smile to the short man when he entered the room. His greeting, while warm, was just enough to keep my guard up a bit. That last name of his would do the same to most Kindred who had only just met him. Still, we, or rather I was here to mingle and get my feelers wet. When in Rome and all that jazz. "Pleasure to meet you Luigui. And don't worry, I never pay attention to rumors."

"Nawh, Nawh." Luigui said. "Dat ain't what I meant. I says I'm of no relation you see, because I ain't no Giovanni. I might box a little and I might come from Skid Row, but I'm a Toreador just like you. I practice the sweet science, you see." Did you see? He was starting to get a little confusing. He also checked you out, pretty much like everybody did.

Over the next few minutes, Luigui made himself comfortable. Some sort of Jazzy music you couldn't identify came through Sean's jukebox thing, and while you and Luigui got to know a little more about each other Sean answered the door yet again. The young kindred (and young in appearance) looked all of maybe 16 or 17. She was a redhead, but it was clearly dyed the neonish red that it was. She had on a 20s style gangster suit that was several sizes too big for her, matching shoes, and a fedora that was tipped halfway to the right. Her outfit was topped off with a Mickie Mouse tie. She looked cute, not all mobster. It was Mary Jane. You'd never met Mary Jane before but Sean had talked about her more then once. She was always spoken of in a positive light, but she wasn't what you would've expected.

Mary Jane brought some friends. They were Angel and Alexis. Angel was a redhead also. Angel was a natural though, and she had the matching freckles covering her body. Angel was taller then the other female vampires, even you, standing just shy of the 6' area, and where your breasts were something that got gawked at, in Angel's case it was her ass. Not that you were paying attention, but both of the guys did. Angel had opted to wear a zoot suit. A red shirt, black vest, and white suit. Her hat was white with a black felt band on it. Unlike Mary Jane's suit, Angel's seemed to be tailored specifically to her, and to accent the parts of her body she liked best... You caught Sean checking her out when she said her hellos to Luigui.

Prior to the event, Sean had told you that there were some issues between Angel and Alexis. Angel was a bit of a hellcat, like yourself. She was anti-authoritarian, rebellious, and full of adrenaline. She was the stereotypical Brujah in that regard. Alexis, on the other hand, was more reserved, but also more intense. Angel showed character, but Alexis was cold and at times, distant. He jokingly said Alexis's problem was that she needed to get laid.

Alexis, by contrast was decked out in a ruby red flapper dress. She had on matching heels and a multi-red, white, and black colored boa over her shoulders. A long strand of black pearls wrapped twice around her neck, sporting a matching cross at the bottom. She held a mini-purse that carried who knew what, and a violin case. Alexis, you thought, seemed to be in a little bit of a sour mood. As a Toreador you could tell she had a nice figure and looked good, but as a Toreador you could also see she was the one who got passed over in favor of Angel or yourself. A final assessment revealed that Angel got all the attention and Alexis wanted all the attention but wasn't willing to compete with Angel for it. Your gut told you that Alexis needed to loosen up a little and not be so ... intense and maybe she would get the attention she was so desperately seeking. Sean was right, there were some issues going on there.

Mary Jane, Angel, and Alexis were all introduced to you. Angel seemed to recognize a kindred spirit and took an immediate liking. Mary Jane was happy to be here, and she added a sense of youthful energy to the mix, while you got the impression Alexis was giving you a cold shoulder.

I smiled at Luigi and nodded as he spoke. Sometimes it was just easier to smile and nod rather then to try and figure a person out from only a single meeting. Course sometimes you never needed to ask a question, sometimes the answers would just come out of thin air. And I had time to wait and see.

Mary Jane was the next to arrive with her friends, Alexis and Angel. Mary Jane's suit a bit to big but she didn't really seem to care. She had a profound amount of self esteem and it suited her well. Angel was another that could direct all attention in a room to herself. She certainly was attractive and she knew it. Her outfit showed her assests nicely. Even Sean checked her out a bit, I would have to have a word with him later. Or maybe he wouldn't be getting that private showing after all. Alexis, while pretty and easy on the eyes for most men stayed in the background. She was the sort that stayed quiet and wished she was adored or admired as other females. She had the looks but was lacking the attitude.

I gave Mary Jane and Angel hugs of greetings when they came in and introductions were made. Alexis seemed almost offended by the touchy feely thing but I offered the embrace all the same. "Well by my count, we have 4 very attractive women here and only 2 men.. I say that gives us the floor for tonights entertainment wouldn't you agree ladies?"

Angel looked at you. "And redheads win by three!" Alexis wasn't much of a talker, but Mary Jane and Angel traded jokes and comments back and forth with you. Luigui and Sean immediately started shooting the shit about...well whatever. Angel had asked you how long you'd been around because she'd never met you before. She asked about your car, and if you were still going to do the Fight Club thing. Mary Jane on the other hand made herself useful with the old fashioned juke-box. She found something that sounded fitting by Ray Charles even though it didn't actually fit the theme.

Though right about then was when the door had a loud Tha-tha-tha-Thump! Thump! Thump! knock to it. Then it got annoying and more rapid. The pounding on the door stop almost as soon as it got annoying though. Because Luigui was talking to him, Sean gave you a quick glance to get the door.
